About Us

Linda Borst began her career with KPMG Peat Marwick.  After being promoted to manager, she left the public accounting life to work for one of her clients, a large publicly traded insurance company.  Several years later, Linda left the career track to stay home with her four children.  On the day her youngest child started first grade, Linda received a call from an old associate.  He wanted her to set his real estate development company up on QuickBooks.  What followed was Linda’s love for QuickBooks and the small/medium sized business.  She continued to work part time for them, at the same time picking up other small business clients that needed help with their accounting and bookkeeping. While her career up to this point had been focused on larger companies, Linda found great satisfaction in seeing all segments of the smaller business.  She enjoyed meeting with owners and helping them build successful businesses.  Thus began Borst Accounting Solutions.

Linda received a B.S. in Accounting from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and is a CPA and QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor.

In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, watching the White Sox and spending time with her family.  She volunteers her time at St. James Church and School, where she served as School Board President.  She currently is the Treasurer of a local non-profit organization.  Linda resides with her husband and four children in Arlington Heights, IL.
